On the 3rd of June, 2016 the new album of Lucas van Merwijk's Cubop City Big Band entitled STAR will be presented during the Meer Jazz Festival in Hoofddorp, The Netherlands.

The album contains new latin versions of the music of Earth Wind & Fire.
A selection of EWF's repertoire has been arranged by Grammy Award Winner Oscar Hernandez (Spanish Harlem Orchestra), Marc Bischoff and Ilja Reijngoud (Thelonious Monk Award).
EWF's english lyrics have been translated into Spanish by Yma América, Andrea Canta and Alberto Caicedo.
